Emily Stenhouse-White Solicitor

LLB, BHSc

Emily’s practice is exclusively in family law, primarily in resolving disputes regarding parenting arrangements, family violence and relationship property. Although she also deals with matters relating to care and protection of children and child support. Emily also takes on a limited amount of legal aid work.

Emily previously worked in Henderson, Auckland where she practised family and employment law. Most of her family law cases there were based in the Waitakere Family Court and were funded through legal aid. Prior to that Emily practised in Ponsonby where she had a more general civil litigation portfolio and also undertook some immigration and refugee work. Emily has enjoyed the mixed bag of law she has practised to date, and is now focused on developing her speciality in family law. Emily is currently a member of the Auckland District Law Society Family Law Committee.

During her studies at the University of Auckland Emily spent a semester at the University of Hong Kong (and was even there during the SARS epidemic!) and after graduating with Health Science and Law degrees she spent a few exciting and worthwhile years at the New Zealand AIDS Foundation as the Policy Analyst.

Emily was attracted to LawWorks because of the firm’s commitment to providing an exceptional quality of legal work and a high level of service and advocacy to their clients.

Emily is presently on maternity leave until January 2010. For all family matters, please refer to Allison Adams, Partner.
